A recent movie I’ve watched is the new Frankenstein movie that is now on Netflix. This movie focuses on Victor Frankenstein, a smart but obsessed scientist who can’t let go of the idea of bringing someone back to life. He hides in a tall and creepy tower where he works on his experiments. He creates a living being from a dead body; however, his creation isn’t what he expected. The actor who played the monster is Jacob Elordi, desperate for acceptance. The creature is tall, quiet, confused, and trying to understand what’s going on. He wants to be treated like a real person and for people to see him as a normal one. The movie focuses a lot on the connection between the scientist and the creature and how Victor feels guilty for his creation, as he doesn’t know how to deal with him and what to do. On the other side, the creature feels upset and angry as Victor doesn’t try to understand him and the feelings he portrays. Towards the end, they become more like enemies rather than friends as their situation pushes them away. I believe this is a classic film everyone should watch, as it is a very famous story.
