My time in Arizona is coming to an end by the time September comes around. I have been coming to Glendale Community College since January of last year, which is when I first started this exact blog for these English courses. When I moved here from California, it was for my relationship, and I swore to myself that I would avoid building any sort of life out here and avoid making any friendships because I knew that our time here was very temporary. It’s been almost two years and those things that I tried to avoid became insanely unavoidable. As my time here comes to an end, I can’t help but look back and feel like I’ve lived here for a lifetime considering the jobs I’ve had, the ups and downs I’ve experienced, the friends who have come and gone, and the friends who are my newest life-long pals. Initially, I really wanted to get in and get out of here while I kept my head down and handled what needed to be done in order to get back home to Sacramento as soon as possible. Now with the life that I initially tried to avoid stays here as I walk away, I am saddened that my time in Phoenix is almost up. I’ll miss you, Arizona, you’ve been too kind to me.
